Referral Authority E-Zine7 Ideas for More AbundanceAuthor: Matt Anderson, The Referral Authority

With the media consistently focusing on apparent crises, it’s hard to stay positive sometimes. Here are a few suggestions to help you focus on bringing in more good stuff into your life. 1. Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change. See the world as an abundant, friendly place. Stephen Covey makes the point that if you want to change your life, you’ve got to change your paradigms – how you see the world. I know this is not easy to do but, if at all possible, stop and recall a person or experience that changed dramatically for you when you started to see this person in a new light; and then focused almost exclusively on those positive qualities rather than the ones that had caused you to have negative beliefs about him or her. The fact you’ve done it before means you can do it again. According to Wayne Dyer, “the way you look at life is essentially a barometer of your expectations, based on what you’ve been taught you’re worthy of and capable of achieving.” These expectations come from our family, people we spend time with, our community, institutions and from our egos. Ever catch yourself explaining away a potentially optimistic viewpoint? 2. Allow good things to show up According to Dyer and the findings from studying quantum physics, all matter is created first in thought and the universe we live in is a source of abundance that responds only to our openness to it. In his book The Power of Intention, he argues that we can’t beg the universe to send us money because it will send us more neediness (the spirit of how we asked). He believes that it will respond favorably to us when we connect to the harmony of its abundance: ‘I have enough money, and I allow what I already have enough of to flow to me’. Think about dating: who would you say yes to: Someone who asks you out looking needy or someone who expects lots of good things to happen in life – and you’re one of them? We can apply this to generating more business and to communicating with our children or co-workers! 3. Notice the resistance you may be placing in the way of the abundance Everything in the universe vibrates to particular frequencies. What are you attracting right now? Is it time to raise that frequency? If you want a better job with a higher salary, “imagine yourself as already having it, knowing in your thoughts that you’re entitled to it with no doubts about the job showing up.” Turn these thoughts into habitual ways of looking at the world. Part of this success is being clear about what you want. 4. Avoid becoming attached to and hoarding what shows up in your life. You are not what you have and what you do. Feeling good is much more important than your custom car or jewelry collection. 5. Pay attention to your feelings. Feelings of passion, pure bliss, reverence, unmitigated optimism, unquestioned trust indicate your desire to manifest great things in your life. “Strong feelings of despair, anxiety, blame, hate, fear, shame and anger are sending you the message that you want success and abundance but you don’t believe it’s possible for you.” Avoid feeling guilty. Being in harmony to abundance does not cause others to be poor or unemployed. You can help others a lot more by creating goodness and plenty. 6. Take positive actions. Consider initially taking the focus off money and onto creating abundance in relationships, security, happiness, health and high energy. This will develop some higher emotional vibrations to bring in the financial abundance. You can’t create positive results when your frequency is low. 7. Take more time to be grateful. This is such an easy one to overlook in a crazy busy world yet this too will create more positive vibrations. These seven steps can help to change your emotional state over time into one that takes you where you truly want to go in life.
